The CDP (formerly known as Carbon Disclosure Project) is a non-profit organisation that works with market forces to disclose their impact on the environment. In this, CDP claims to motivate action to prevent climate change and protect natuarl resources.

CDP works with thousands of companies around the world and with 722 investors who hold $87 trillion in assets. In addition, it has over 50 purchasing companies who use global CDP systems to mitigate environmental risk in their supply chains, including Pepsi, Wallmart and Dell.

CDP is a member of the Board and Secretariat of the Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB) and leads CDSB's work in developing a global framework for corporate disclosure of climate change-related data in annual reports.
